It has been a few months since the bitter, cold day that our sweet rabbit, Cocoa, gave birth to her four babies.
It was a day that Cocoa acted on her feelings instead of the realities and truth of her situation. The result was quite horrific to see. The ensuing tragedy gave me a terrifically helpful illustration to remember going forward.
It’s also lead me to ask this week’s question:
“Am I living congruently with who God says I am?

Such an incredible object lesson, Amy. Your story brought tears to my eyes. Oh, may I remember and listen to His prompting as He speaks truth into my heart!
Hi Bettie-thanks for visiting. God is so good and active in our lives!
Amy, such a tragic story, but what a lesson is hidden there. Thank you for reminding me how much I need God’s truth and to draw near and listen.
Hi Donna–let’s draw near and listen!
Wow, Amy … what a powerful story and application. I appreciate the questions that you ended with … convicting, but also very helpful.
Thanks for visiting, Lois! Yes, these questions are hard for me too…but helpful. 🙂
Amy, such a sad and sad story that has much to teach us all. “Our Father in Heaven has communicated his rescue and protection plan and the Holy Spirit enables us to understand! Hope is not lost!” You closed with the post with thought provoking questions to ponder.
Thanks, Joanne! God is good and knows how to reach us in ways we understand. If only we stop and listen!
I’m so thankful our Heavenly Father is a rescuer and how His TRUTH can set us free from our fears. Thank you for sharing your encouraging post.
Lisa-thanks for visiting! Thankful with you for the Rescuer of our fears!
Such a powerful story of contrasts of the heart and mind. The first instance showed her maternal heart of care and selflessness and the second instance showed her self-survival at all costs.
I thought this was a powerful statement, “Operating out of instincts, unable to see the truth that we so desperately wanted her to know.”
Thanks for visiting, Lisa! I hope we will operate less and less out of fleshly instincts and more and more from the truths the Lord has given us!
Wow. What a powerful illustration. Bless you for having to walk your daughter through that!
Thanks, Lauren! God is so good to have helped us through that and to give us these thoughts.
Hi Amy, I found you over at Candidly Christian’s bloghop. Great question to ask. My favourite “dig deeper” thought at the moment is the phrase Coram Deo – living in front of God. Your question speaks right into that.
God bless

Thanks for visiting, Tracy! I love that phrase. May we live in front of God as if we are always remembering his goodness and grace.
