Homeschool Co-op_10 19_0705_edited-1

Hi, my name is Amy Jung. I’m a follower of Jesus, wife, mom, homeschooler, and writer. I loved writing and illustrating stories as a kid. I have grown up to continue that writing but now enjoy adding my own photographs to many of my blog posts. An education in Theology, Christian Counseling, Christian Coaching and Therapeutic Stretch impacts much of my writing and online work.

Though I grew up in a Christian home, I rebelled and turned away from the Lord for many years. Though I was only about 25 when I finally returned, an untold amount of damage had been done to my heart and mind.  The Lord gave me a strong desire to get an education in theology and Christian counseling in order to understand healing from a biblical worldview. While studying in seminary, I met my wonderful now husband and pastor. God has graciously given us a family.  As people who had to wait until later in life to marry, we are thrilled to have two children who help to keep us young at heart!  I homeschool our eight and eleven-year-old and find it to be a true life adventure. We live on a little old farm that we’re trying to rehab (a lifelong project). I enjoy looking at its quaint beauty and for God’s beautiful acts of renewal in our everyday life there while being a mother, wife, and writer. I enjoy photographing and writing about it as well.

I have a passion for us who believe in Jesus to understand who we most truly are in Him and I believe that being grounded in those truths empowers us to live for Him. Those who are trusting in Christ, have been brought into his kingdom and we are a part of a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).  He continues to renew, refresh and transform those who are in Him. We can turn away from all that entangles toward Him, His grace, and His kingdom.  Wasteland to Graceland.
